Nomination for “Top New Female Vocalist.” The video for the title track was nominated for “Country Video of the Year” by the 1998 Music Video Production Association and for “Best New Clip” at the 1997 Billboard Music Video Awards. In addition, Evans was named one of Country America’s “Ten To Watch In 1998/Top 10 New Stars Of 1998.” At this time Sara Evans was still an unknown artist to the general public so to catch the eye of so many critics and be nominated for so many awards was a major compliment to Evans herself.

Sara Evans’ previous album, Three Chords and The Truth, was a commercial failure. Many people attributed this to the fact that the sound of country music was changing to more of a “country pop” sound. Evans realized why her album did not sell well and was willing to conform to the current Nashville sound.
Evans wanted this album to contain songs that were top-notch, and which would allow her to showcase her vocal talents as well. Though the songs lean toward the “country pop” sound, they also retain elements of traditional country influences found on her début album. When “No Place That Far” was completed, many hoped that this would be her breakthrough album.

The single, “No Place That Far”, turned out to be Sara’s breakout song. Restless is Sara Evan’s follow-up to her breakthrough success Please Login or Register to see the link.. It has been very successful in its own right being certified Platinum. The lead single “Backseat of a Greyhound Bus” reached number sixteen on the country chart. Despite the rather low chart performance of the lead single the album debuted quite well. It reached number three on the country chart and number twenty on the pop chart selling 44,283 copies in its first week. The album has some of her most memorable and fan favorite songs such as “Perfect” and the extremely successful “Suds in the Bucket.” “Suds in the Bucket” eventually reached number one on the country charts making Restless her third consecutive album to contain a number one single.
